Tectonic interface

Etnological Museum museum at the square remains silent and anonymous for the pedestrians. The border of intervention defines an area, which unveils its funcioning, extends its functionality and modifies the qualities of its surroundings. Linear prolongations of the internal exhibition routes travel through space, carving surface of the square, until they reach the convergence point of the hierarchical structure. Additional functions of the museum fill the volumes between the corridors, attracting and internalizing the flows of visitors. The border that provokes visual connections simultaneously impairs the continuity of car traffic liberating the square for pedestrian activities. This tectonic landscape exists detached from the context– the horizon of the square remains untouched.
